Asphalt manufacturing ,whether on fixed or mobile plant, requires a purpose built burner solution which can meet the demands of the process. The Ecostar and Starjet burners by Hauck Manufacturing Co. are specifically designed for rotary aggregrate batch drying or continuous asphalt drum mixing processes. Variable flame shaping ensures the flame profile is matched to the drum , The burners are ruggedly constructed and skid mounted for convenience. Various fuel options are possible including natural gas, LP vapour, Liquid LP, Butane, distillate, heavy oils and waste oil.

Sliding Vane Pumps

These pumps have a number of vanes that are free to slide into or out of slots in the pump rotor. When the pump driver turns the rotor, centrifugal force, push rods and/or pressurized fluid causes the vanes to move outward in their slots and bear against the inner bore of the pump casing forming pumping chambers. As the rotor revolves, fluid flows into the area between the vanes when they pass the suction port. This fluid is transported around the casing until it reaches the pump discharge point. At this point the fluid is squeezed out into the discharge piping.

Process burners are generally required for applications where packaged burners are not suited such as in harsh operating environments or where the process demands special performance requirements. For instance, applications requiring high thermal turndown, high process temperatures, preheated combustion air or high excess air limits.
